What's included in a basic log shell package?

Construct log shell as per engineered stamped plan and contract.

Steel Requirements Supplied and Installed:

● 1" diameter screw jacks with minimum 1⁄2" thick plates as per

engineered stamped drawings.

● 2"x 2"x 1/4" pre-cut and drilled window and door opening angle

iron as per engineered stamped drawings.

● Bottom round anchorage as per engineered stamped drawings.

● All Timber Screws, pins and dowels pertaining to the shell setup

as per engineered stamped drawings..

Wood and misc. requirements supplied and installed

● Select grade logs for construction of shell as per engineering

requirements reviewed on plan as per engineered stamped

drawings.

● “P-Gasket” insulation supplied and installed during the building

process for ease of re-assembly.

● 2x6 for rough bucks for window and door openings, supplied and

installed as per engineered stamped drawings..

● Handcrafted saddle notch Log Walls

● Use "over-scribe" construction techniques as per the International

Log Building Association standards

● Log Posts drilled for supplied screw jacks where applicable.

● Pre-drilling and mortices for electrical wire passages, switch and

plug boxes, mortice to accept faceplates.

● Window and door openings pre-cut, square and plumb to accept

supplied ruff bucks.

● Spline window and door openings to accept supplied ruff bucks.

● Pinning & bolting around openings and panel walls

● Flattening logs for installation of framing materials and second

floor gable ends

● Sanding of knots, logging scars and exposed chain saw cuts

● Logs treated with protective anti-mildew/ fungicide deterrent

● All log work conforms with the International Log Building

Association standards

● Log Stairs and Interior Log Railing as per plan where applicable.

Pre Delivery:

* Full visual inspection of all logs during tagging and numbering.

* Final spot sanding and cleanup of logs before shipping.

* Osbourne brush entire building for stain prep

*Apply non-hazardous wood treatment to prepare for staining, maintain

color and deter mold and fungus growth.

Delivery Advisor:

*Pricing for travel and accommodations included in contract documents.

* Our pricing includes on site technical assistance for the entire

re-assembly of the log package.

* On-site for the duration of log package stacking.

* Includes pre-erection review of framed floor or slab, placements of bottom

round, anchorage to foundation, stacking

of log walls and installation of log roof members.

* After the erection of the shell, our supervisors will finish the on site detail

work and consult with either general contractor or owner to ensure a full

understanding of the framing and finishing details required for the log home

which are previously laid out in the details section of the plan.

"Work” does not include the following

1.Payment and arrangement for crane on site for re-erection of log shell

unless specified in contract documentation.

2.Payment and arrangement for trucking log shell to site unless specified in

contract documentation.

3.Payment for any plans, engineering and or permitting required for log

shell unless specified in contract documentation.
