This calculator is a helpful tool to estimate the potential cost of a log shell for your dream home or cabin. To use it, simply input the requested dimensions and quantities for your project. Each field must have a numerical value.
The prices this calculator generates are generally higher then a real quoted price from us.
Please note: This calculator provides a general estimate based on average costs and standard building configurations. Murchison Enterprises uses a detailed log tally system to accurately price each individual project, considering factors like log type, dimensions, and specific building attributes.

Let’s get started on estimating your log shell!
Choose from Murchison Enterprises three log home styles. Once you've calculated the price for one style, you can easily switch to the other options for log homes to compare costs.
Murchison Enterprises has included a picture of a priced-out Fusion log home with a 26' by 36' base and an 18' by 26' loft. The 'Main measurement' refers to the outer edges of your foundation. This will give you a good estimate of the cost based on the size of your home. If any wall length exceeds 40 feet, we suggest adding an extra corner to the dropdown menu for a more accurate price.
Log trusses are both beautiful and strong. They can be used on the outside of your log homes for a striking look or inside as a stunning focal point. Smaller ones can also support roof overhangs over entryways. While the size can affect the cost, for now, we're using a standard price for all trusses to keep things simple.
If your log home or cabin will have a basement, you have the option of matching log stairs and railings on both floors. Murchison Enterprises can build these custom for you, but you can always go with traditional stairs as a more budget-friendly alternative. However, the cost of traditional stairs is often similar to or even higher than our handcrafted log stairs if you're looking for something that is unique or custom built.
Our example building has four corners, so you would select '4' in the 'Number of Corners' dropdown. If your building has places where log walls meet, like the Rebellion building on our log homes plans page, count these intersections and enter the number in the 'Number of corners' dropdown. For walls longer than 40 feet, we recommend adding a corner for structural support. So, for each wall longer than 40 feet, add one extra corner to the count.
